Position Title: Lower Elementary Assistant Teacher (Grades 1-3)

Job Description: • Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing the Montessori curriculum and daily
classroom activities.
• Help prepare and maintain a beautiful, organized, and developmentally appropriate
Montessori classroom environment.
• Support individual students, small groups, and whole-class activities under the
guidance of the Lead Teacher.
• Reinforce lessons while encouraging independence, responsibility, and confidence
in students.
• Assist with classroom management by modeling respectful behavior and promoting
a positive classroom culture.
• Observe student progress and communicate relevant information to the Lead
Teacher.
• Assist with preparing instructional materials and maintaining Montessori classroom
resources.
• Support students during transitions, lunch, recess, arrival, dismissal, and other
school activities.
• Foster respectful and positive relationships with students while honoring the
individuality of each child.
• Collaborate with the Lead Teacher and other faculty members to support student
success.
• Communicate professionally and respectfully with students, families, and
colleagues.
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development opportunities, and
school events as requested.
• Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism, flexibility, and ethical
conduct at all times.

Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in education or a related field.
• Experience working with elementary-aged children.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a
team.
• Ability to actively engage with children throughout the school day, including working
on the floor when appropriate.
• Ability to maintain emotional control, flexibility, and professionalism in a dynamic
classroom environment.
Preferred Qualifications
• Montessori Assistant Training or Montessori Elementary Certification.
• Previous experience in a Montessori classroom.
• Texas Teaching Certification.
• Experience working in an independent or international school.
