Molly Schayot
AMI 0-3 Trainer & School Outreach Coordinator
Molly Schayot is an AMI 0-3 Trainer and Examiner, as well as MINT’s School Outreach Coordinator. She earned her AMI 0-3 Diploma from MINT in 2006 under the direction of Maria Teresa Vidales and led toddler communities throughout Texas for 15 years. She worked on 0-3 diploma courses for many years with MINT Director of Training Sara Brady, and developed MINT’s first blended 0-3 diploma course. Molly graduated from Southwestern University with a degree in English, and worked in corporate public affairs for many years before joining the Montessori community professionally. Molly is married to Jason Schayot. They live in Dallas and have three wonderful daughters.

This course introduces Montessori education for children from birth to age three. Participants explore early human development, the prepared environment, and the adult’s role in supporting movement, language, independence, and the child’s growing relationship with the world. It is especially valuable for assistants, school staff, administrators, parents, caregivers, and those beginning their study of Montessori.

This adjunct course gives assistants and support staff a practical understanding of their role in the Montessori environment. Participants consider how to support the guide, protect the children’s concentration, prepare and maintain the environment, and contribute to the calm, orderly life of the classroom.

The AMI Diploma Course provides comprehensive preparation for guiding children in a Montessori environment. Students deepen their understanding of Montessori theory and child development while developing practical skills through lectures, observation, supervised practice, and work with Montessori materials.

This AMI Diploma Course offers high school students at Isthmus Montessori an extraordinary opportunity to undertake rigorous Montessori teacher preparation as part of their secondary education. Through the study of Montessori theory, child development, observation, and classroom practice, students encounter education not only as learners, but as emerging educators. The course is offered directly to the Isthmus Montessori community and is not open for public enrollment.
