Position Title: Primary Trained Assistant Guide
Job Description: Clover Montessori School, located in the heart of West St. Paul, MN, is a nurturing and dynamic educational community dedicated to serving children from 16 months to 6 years old. We offer a thoughtfully designed Montessori environment with one Toddler Community and one Children’s House, where our students thrive. As a school committed to following the Montessori philosophy as defined by the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI), we believe in fostering each child's natural curiosity, independence, and love of learning.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and collaborative AMI Primary Trained Children’s House Assistant Guide to join our dedicated team of educators. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside an experienced AMI Montessori Guide to create a rich, supportive, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for young children. The ideal candidate will have a passion and deep respect for the Montessori method, and is interested in becoming Lead Guide of a Children’s House at Clover in the future.
Main Responsibilities:
Assist the Guide in maintaining a safe, clean, ordered, and beautiful learning environment that is developmentally appropriate for the age group.
Observe and redirect children in the environment when required.
Support children during transitions in a calm, clear manner.
Collaborate with colleagues to maintain positive and professional working relationships, sharing insights and strategies to support the team and school.
Participate in professional development through ongoing training, workshops, and seminars to enhance skills and stay current with best practices.
Support Guide in maintaining DHS and MDH licensing requirements for the learning environments and prioritizing health and safety.
The start date for this position is June 8th, 2026.

Requirements: Position Requirements:
AMI Primary diploma (required)
Bachelor's degree (preferred)
Dedication to upholding the values of the Montessori method and fostering an environment where children can thrive
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with faculty and children
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Successful completion of a background clearance check
