Kindred Montessori Academy is seeking a dedicated and passionate Montessori Lead Teacher to guide a primary classroom (ages 3–6).
This is a leadership role for someone who is committed to authentic Montessori principles and creating a calm, purposeful, and engaging learning environment.
🌱 **Position Overview:**
As a Lead Teacher, you will prepare and maintain a beautiful Montessori environment, support each child’s individual development, and lead the classroom with confidence and care.
🧠 **Responsibilities:**
• Prepare and maintain an organized, developmentally appropriate Montessori environment
• Guide children through independent and small group work cycles
• Observe, assess, and support each child’s growth and development
• Foster independence, concentration, and respect within the classroom
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress
• Lead and collaborate with classroom assistant(s)
• Ensure classroom follows licensing, safety, and school standards
💛 **Ideal Candidate:**
• Montessori certification (AMI, AMS, or in progress preferred)
• Experience working with children ages 3–6
• Calm, patient, and confident classroom leadership
• Strong observation and classroom management skills
• Passion for child-led learning and authentic Montessori practices
• Reliable, professional, and team-oriented
⏰ **Schedule:** Full-Time (Monday–Friday)

Requirements: • Prior experience working in a Montessori classroom (ages 3–6 preferred)
• Demonstrated experience with lesson planning and guiding individualized student work
• Strong understanding of Montessori philosophy and child-led learning
• Ability to prepare and maintain an organized, developmentally appropriate environment
• Experience observing children and adapting lessons to meet individual needs
• Strong classroom leadership and classroom management skills
• Ability to lead a classroom with consistency, calmness, and structure
• Montessori certification (AMI, AMS, or MACTE-accredited) preferred
• Willingness to align with and implement authentic Montessori practices
• Strong communication skills with parents and team members
• Reliable, professional, and consistent attendance
• Ability to collaborate with assistant teachers and school leadership
• Must meet state licensing requirements for child-care staff
