Position Title: Secondary Science Teacher

Job Description: The ideal candidate will have a strong background in science education, enjoy working with
adolescents, and be committed to creating an engaging, hands-on learning environment that
encourages curiosity, scientific inquiry, and critical thinking.
This full-time position involves teaching Middle School and High School Science courses.
Candidates should have a broad knowledge of science and feel comfortable teaching a variety of
subjects, including Biology, Environmental Science, Chemistry, Physics, and science electives,
depending on the academic year's course offerings.
Our secondary program combines Montessori principles with a structured academic curriculum
aligned with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS). We seek an educator who values
student independence, experiential learning, and meaningful connections between scientific
concepts and real-world applications.

Requirements: Required:
• Bachelor's degree in science, Science Education, or a closely related field.
• Broad knowledge of science and confidence teaching multiple disciplines, including
Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Environmental Science.
• Experience teaching science at the Middle School and/or High School level.
• Ability to develop engaging lessons that incorporate laboratory work, scientific inquiry,
and hands-on learning.
• Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
• Commitment to supporting students' academic, social, and personal development.
• Willingness to embrace Montessori principles and participate in Montessori professional
development.
Preferred:
• Texas teaching certification in Science (Grades 6–12 or 7–12), or equivalent.
• Montessori training or experience in a Montessori educational environment.
• Experience teaching multiple science disciplines at the secondary level.
• Familiarity with TEKS and curriculum planning.
• Experience with project-based learning, interdisciplinary instruction, and differentiated
teaching.
